So yesterday's news was that all the pubs, restaurants, cinemas, gyms and similar were to close.
Social distancing needed to be done.
Our day was a chilled one. The children played, although asked for some school activities too 🙈.
My husband took deliveries and left them in the gardens of our parents to maintain distances.
It was nice to relax but still felt surreal. Normally we would be rushing around getting as many jobs as we need to at home done ready for the busy week ahead.
Instead we set the children up to have Skype on their tablets. My youngest doesn't yet have one as we set rules that they were not allowed one until they turned 7. These times have changed that. So I had to find mine that I no longer use for her to use.
It had a real positive impact. They called grandparents, aunties, cousins and friends. We're having group calls. They were loving it. They played around the house having conversations with each other like I did with walkie talkies when I was a child. It was fun to see.
The sound of laughter was lovely to hear in such strange times.
