Day 3 Reality Kicks In

Well day 3 completely went to pot. I think realisation hit today. Schools are closing we are going to have to do this for the unforeseeable future. Emotions were high and the novelty of schooling at home was wearing off.

Virtual tours, for several different famous places. Today we chose the Great Wall of China. We first found our destination by using Google Earth. The kids seemed to enjoy it.

We needed fresh air so we got out in the garden for as long as we could. We took a bird spotting book and sat looking at nests on peoples roofs and in hedges.

This afternoon we snuggled down to watch a film as a family and then drew a picture of our favourite character.

• Get dressed as though you are going to see the public.
• Have background music playing its a great motivator.
• Embrace that your house is now a school as well. Its going to be well lived in. Set up a dedicated area with a box that you can sweep it all away each night if needed.
