A lovely spontaneous family day out. I visited here many times growing up. On several days out over the years we have seen it from afar and I have said to the children we will go.
Well this lovely Sunday morning our original plans changed and we decided to go out as a family. Not quite sure where to go but we wanted to visit a park and have some fun. We were nearby in Nottingham when all of a sudden I remembered our conversations about visiting and suggested we go.
I am glad we did. We loved the story of George the miller and the mathematician. The science activities really had the boys hooked and they enjoyed exploring the working mill so obviously we have had to buy flour to make some bread which I will blog about later.
There is also a fantastic play park which we had lots of fun on too.
Would recommend a trip here it is great.
