Since Rhys suffered his first bout of tonsillitis after just turning 1 and spending the week on the settee watching Fireman Sam, he became addicted. With many episodes stored on the Sky+ and DVDs purchased. Therefore for his second birthday party theme he chose Fireman Sam.
Knowing that I would be heavily pregnant during his party I had to plan in advance. It was brilliant, I came across a party supplier that stated they were going to have in stock for July; Fireman Sam themed party wear. However, July came and the date was pushed back to August, then in August pushed back again to September, with his birthday at the start of September I knew it was not worth the risk and went about designing my own party bags and creating invites, decorations and games in the theme.
Knowing I would have very little time to make a cake and wanting one to match the theme I ordered one from a friend who has her own cake making business www.rosyposycakes.co.uk.
