My little boy will be reaching his first birthday in just over 2 weeks time. The year has gone very quickly and many new changes to all our lives have happened since. Chuggington is an children's TV programme on CBeebies about trains, as I like to explain it as a modern day Thomas the Tank Engine. My little boy loves it and has done from a couple of months old. He loves the introductory music and likes to wave his hands and wiggle his bum. So we have decided to throw a Chuggington theme birthday party. However, this is proving very difficult as Chuggington is still a very new programme so we are struggling to find party supplies in this theme. This week I have been using my creative skills and I have managed to create some invites and print them off on the computer. I think the next two weeks are going to be very busy & I need to utilise my craft skills to create some decorations and party bags. Luckily in my search I have come across some great ideas and there is even a group on Facebook! http://lyndsxo-glamourmoms.blogspot.com/2009/04/chuggington-themed-birthday-party.html and http://www.birthday-parties-for-kids.com/?p=5363.
Here is the birthday card I made him & one of the goody bags, on the back of the bag had each child's name in cut out letters and Chugger.
For example; Chugger Rhys x
Birthday Party update
We had a lovely Garden Party to celebrate Rhys’ special day. With lots of friends a family. He was spoilt rotten with lots of toys including a trike and a slide. The birthday boy was so excited he fell asleep 30 minutes in to it! He soon woke up and carried on playing with his friends in the sand and ball pit. Lots to eat and a great Chuggington cake with a candle too!
The next day was his actual birthday where he was spoilt by mummy and daddy. We went out for pizza and then went to Clarks for a fitting and his first pair of big boy shoes!
