Gardening Summer 2010

This year’s gardening attempt has been pretty much nonexistent. I have had very little chance to do much. The only that managed to get planted is tubs of potatoes and looking out of the window they seem to be flowering very well.

My raspberries as with every year are left to the wild, and this year they are thriving last week I collected 3 fresh tubs and this week I have collected one large tub that has been frozen, many went to waste on the ground due to the strong winds.

The strawberries have let me down, they are normally left to the wilderness and come back year after year but this year I had one! I am hoping to plant some salad leaves this weekend to last me over the summer and also save some money as we waste so much lettuce when we buy it.

Other than that the garden currently belongs to Rhys and the rabbit. Rhys now has a swing and also a sand pit and paddling pool. The rabbit just spends all day in there and then comes in when it gets cold; I am surprised he has not yet escaped.
