Baby Shower!

Although it is more of an American celebration to hold someone a baby shower it is becoming ever so more popular over here in Britain and it was lovely to have my sister and mum organise one for me.

I was asked to step out of the house for lunch with my dad and returned to several decorations and surprises. I was a lovely small affair with family and close friends.

My sister had organised several entertaining games (with prizes!) and there was food and alcohol for those to enjoy. Games included matching the celebrity to their baby. I wasn't that good, however, I did get concerned when my Nanna said she didn't know any and there was a picture of Marge and Maggie Simpson!!! Charlie had also asked all those that attended to bring a baby photo with them. We then had to match each guest to their photo. A ball of string was passed around and everyone had to guess how big the bump was. The most revolting of the games was the guess the contents of the nappy!!!! My sister had raided my food cupboard to fill nappies. Nappy 1, contained lime juice! 2, gravy! 3, branston pickle! and 4 had pesto!!!! YUK!

It was a lovely afternoon, I really enjoyed it, I got several surprises for wiggles and my mums close friend who is like an aunty; Lyn, made a lovely cake in the shape of a baby.
